Anthony Petruso, MD

Anthony Petruso, MD, is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Petruso is board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine, and has been practicing since finishing residency in 2014; he joined Prisma Health in 2022. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from The Ohio State University, and completed his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York.

He chose a career in medicine as it allows him to mix compassion with science and teaching. Dr. Petruso chose primary care as it allows him to impact the health of people in longitudinal ways, with a focus on health instead of disease. He enjoys treating people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.

Dr. Petruso lives in Greer with his wife and four children. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, learning new things and being outdoors.
