Bailey J Nevels, PhD

Bailey Nevels, PhD, joined Prisma Health Outpatient Psychiatry in 2022. Originally from Spartanburg, Dr. Nevels attended Furman University for her undergraduate degree and University of Georgia for her graduate education. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Clemson University and then served as the lead mental health provider for the university’s student-athletes for seven years.

Dr. Nevels focuses on providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults dealing with conditions such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders. She also supervises psychiatry residents completing their psychotherapy rotations and provides therapy services for the Sport Psychiatry clinic. Dr. Nevels takes pride in helping clients achieve balanced perspectives and cope with stress.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and finding the next great podcast.
