Benjamin Lynwood Judkins, MD

Benjamin Judkins, MD is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Prisma Health who specializes in the treatment of injuries to the hip, shoulder, knee and elbow. He has a particular interest in the management of hip pain and injuries in the athletic population. His primary surgical interests are in hip arthroscopy for labral tears, impingement and hip dysplasia. He also has an interest in rotator cuff repair, shoulder labral injury, ACL and meniscus injury, elbow UCL injury (Tommy John), as well as shoulder replacement surgery.

Dr. Judkins attended medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and continued on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency training at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC. After completing residency, he elected to spend an additional year of subspecialty training in orthopaedic sports medicine and hip arthroscopy at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, he had the opportunity to serve as an orthopaedic surgeon for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He continues his relationship with the Rockies, serving as an orthopedic surgeon.

Outside of work, Dr. Judkins enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golf and enjoying all the Upstate has to offer.
