Dr. Edward Penn is a pediatric otolaryngologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, and throat conditions in children from infancy through adolescence. Originally from McPherson, Kansas, Dr. Penn completed his medical education and residency training at the University of Kansas. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. After practicing in Nashville, he relocated to Greenville, where he currently provides specialized pediatric ENT care.
Dr. Penn’s practice focuses on caring for patients from newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to teenagers and young adults. His work often involves addressing hearing, speech, and airway conditions that can significantly impact a child’s development and quality of life.
A core aspect of Dr. Penn’s approach to care is patient advocacy. He is dedicated to supporting children and their families, particularly when young patients may not yet have the ability to communicate their needs. Through collaboration with a multidisciplinary network of specialists, Dr. Penn works to ensure that each child receives comprehensive, coordinated care that considers both specific ENT concerns and overall health.

The doctor said that he would send over the recommendations for where to send my daughter for her jaw and the orthodontist, but I still have not yet gotten that. I figured maybe he would get it to me by next week. But that would be like a faster turnaround on that so I can get the appointment called in since it's a long wait everywhere. That would be ideal. And then kind of where to go from there since we weren't able to fix the issue or start fixing the issue in his office. But I think that's about it. I feel like he was really great. I can't think of any ways. Dr. Penn is an amazing provider. He is kind, listens to the parent's concerns and is excellent at what he does clinically. A true gem in healthcare.

Dr Penn and his team are outstanding. I have no recommendations for improvement because they are the pinnacle of patient care. They are all kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and supremely good at their job. Dr Penn should win an award for being the best physician in the state. I am always astonished at how quickly he puts my children at ease. He always asks for permission and explains what he is going to do before doing it. My children are completely comfortable with him. His exams are painstakingly thorough, and even the questions he asks of me AND my children are always helping him gather history and information about their health. He fosters respect and care among his patients AND staff, and it makes a huge difference. Doctors should be learning from him how best to serve their patients. I recommend him immediately and without reservation to anyone that needs a pediatric ENT.
