Your clinic lost power and you did not have any backup power which is unacceptable. Dr. Rangel wanted to scope my sinuses but could not due to this.

Perhaps a a quick home call for a well check during the time between surgery and post-op. This could help settle some caregiver jittery nerves.

Ask first, if someone want to see a PA or student. We schedule with the doctor not PA. Just doing it isn't professional especially if you already know your child will have surgery. Appointment were already behind a full hour, we were patiently waiting-if we arrived late we would have to reschedule or pay a fee. Double standard! Not reading; questionnaires or medical chart- just relied on everything I told them. I felt that was lazy, I was doing most of the work. I repeated same information two to three times in same visit

My initial request to see Dr. Rangel submitted via a MyChart message was denied by the staff person screening the incoming messages. That staff reviewer did not correctly interpret the symptoms described in my request and instead provided incorrect an inappropriate medical and denied my request for an appointment. My only option was to visit my local PRISMA Urgent Care facility for an assessment and a prescription for an antibiotic/steroid and a medically documented justification for a follow up exam by Dr. Rangel to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. My significant concern was for a determination of the root cause of the infection - was it due to a complication from my surgery or unrelated since I do not have a history of this type of ear infection. I would encourage counciling with the staff member that reviewed my initial request, my confidence is low that they are properly qualified for such a task.

After surgery, it's important to be able to get a hold of your surgeon. I waited far more than 48 hours after contacting with some symptoms I did not understand. And then there was a delay of a couple days in my post-surgery. So communication by phone and nurses seems to be a real problem, thank you.

Have changing tables in your facility! There is not a table in the room to change a child and you do not have them in the restrooms in the building

Dr. Rangel is one of the best doctors that I have had experience with. There was some serious issues with scheduling and lack of follow up from the staff. The office manager and Dr. Rangel addressed these concerns with professionalism and urgency. I was concerned that these issues could be a negative reflection to him and his outstanding care.
