Heather L Strader, AuD

Heather L. Strader, AuD, CCC-A, is a cochlear implant audiologist with Prisma Health ENT, serving pediatric and adult populations. She leads the CI team toward developing and implementing innovative and efficient care delivery models, which facilitates expanded access to care for CI patients in the Upstate and beyond. She received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and her doctorate of audiology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She completed her fellowship with the University of North Carolina Pediatric Cochlear Implant Team and previously worked with the St. Louis Children's Hospital Pediatric Cochlear Implant Team. Heather also serves as the executive director of the Institute for Cochlear Implant Training (ICIT), a nonprofit dedicated to creating professional education experiences for audiologists, surgeons and interventionists who specialize in cochlear implant care. As part of her role with ICIT, she recently helped to lead a consensus team to revise the Minimum Speech Test Battery (MSTB-3) to guide adult cochlear implant care.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Strader spends much of her time adventuring with her husband and three children in and around Greenville.
