A printout of aftercare instructions would have been helpful, but we did obtain this through messaging on portal system. Some discrepancy between doctor and nurse; doctor said use petroleum jelly, nurse said use bacitracin so we were unsure until we messaged. We also felt like both doctor and nurse explained that baby may be slightly fussy after the procedure and nursing would help baby calm down. However, our baby would not latch and seemed not fussy or crying but was more "zoning out", almost not noticing mom or nipple at all. This made us immediately worried that something was wrong because this type of reaction was not expected per what we learned from doctor and nurse. I want to acknowledge that our baby is fine now and we were reassured once the PA came back into the room. But I just think clarifying different types of reactions to the procedure would have made us feel more comfortable in that time immediately after the procedure when we got him back.

As a single mom, I have zero complaints about this visit & I'm grateful Dr Green brought the Dad energy and talked to my teenage son like a young man who is accountable for what it will take to get results with therapy & to avoid surgery. See you in 30 days & thank you!

get the appointment faster and quicker. Secondly, have access to talk to the healthcare provider as the diagnosis is very brand new to us and we have many questions that we were not prepared to ask at the time of the appointment.
