Jaymi Sylvan Meyers, MD

Jaymi S. Meyers, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, completed his residency in family medicine in Anderson, South Carolina, and has practiced medicine in Seneca since then. He has actively managed patients in hospice care for 30 years. Since 2021, he has served as the on-site physician at Cottingham Hospice House and as an assistant medical director for Hospice of the Foothills.

Dr. Meyers is certified by the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board. He provides compassionate care wherever patients call home, including Cottingham Hospice House, private residences, assisted living communities and nursing facilities.

Dr. Meyers believes hospice is about helping people live as fully and comfortably as possible while honoring each person’s goals, values and dignity. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside patients and families during one of life’s most meaningful journeys and to provide expert medical care with compassion, honesty and respect.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, operating heavy equipment, improving his property and being outdoors. Whether he’s moving earth, working on a new project or enjoying the peace of nature, he values the balance that time outside brings to his life.
