Jennifer A. Hudson, MD

Jennifer A. Hudson, MD, has served as Medical Director for Newborn Services at Greenville Memorial Hospital since July 2000. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, she attended Wake Forest University for undergraduate studies and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a member of AOA Honor Medical Society.

She completed her Pediatric residency with Greenville Hospital System (GHS) and served as Chief Resident after graduation. In addition to her clinical role, she worked as Associate Program Director for the Pediatric residency at GHS from 2006 to 2017.

Dr. Hudson is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been recognized for her research and development of the Managing Abstinence in Newborns (MAiN) Program, now implemented across the state. Her special academic interests include breastfeeding, newborn medicine, environmental health and residency curriculum design.
