Jewel Marie Moreau, MD

Jewel Moreau, MD, is a psychiatrist at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina and a faculty member at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

A Louisiana native, Dr. Moreau received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She then completed her residency training at the Prisma Health/USC School of Medicine Columbia program, where she is now a clinical instructor of neuropsychiatry and behavioral science. She also serves as a contract psychiatrist at the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice.

Moreau is passionate about trauma-related psychiatric disorders, women’s mental health, spiritual health, psychoeducation and multiple therapy modalities that incorporate treating the whole person. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (SCPA), American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and American Medical Association.

In her free time, she enjoys travel, nature, fall weather, yoga, reading, relaxing, learning, physical fitness and hiking with her Aussies.
