Dr. Scalise is an exceptional physician. He makes me feel comfortable, takes the time to explain things in a way I can understand, and consistently provides the highest level of care. I truly appreciate how he addresses concerns that others have overlooked. His approach is not just about prescribing medication-it's about caring for the whole individual. Thank you.

This was my first visit with the doctor. I had to switch doctors because of mine leaving the office. I was very pleased with his knowledge and how comforting he was towards me. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Scalise provides wonderful care and I am so thankful for him! It was hard to reach anyone to schedule this appointment. I sent a message through the portal and did not hear back. I called once and left a VM and never heard back. I called a second time and had to wait on hold for 15 minutes before I reached anyone. Once I reached the staff they were great about working me in. Just took reaching out repeatedly in multiple ways to get to anyone.

I can't think of anything that needs improvement. I have had literally zero complaints or problems.

As always, Dr. Scalise is the best-something not surprising to anyone who has ever been his patient. More people should have the opportunity to experience care from a doctor like him. Additionally, his artistic skills are commendable; they by far surpass any explanations or diagrams I found on Google or ChatGPT, that's for sure! Also, who else do you know who can draw successfully on exam table paper with a sharpie pen without tearing the paper? Only a surgeon!

I was called only a couple of hours prior to my appointment to be told the physician was unavailable and I had to reschedule to later in the day. I was not told until the end of the phone call that the physician would be a male provider which I am not comfortable with. I showed up to my appointment and was called back for an ultrasound rather quickly. The ultrasound was fast and I was unable to hear the heartbeat. I was also uncomfortable that the technician did not step out while I was getting undressed or dressed. I was then told to go wait in the lobby for my doctor visit. I was waiting in the lobby for over an hour when I finally went to the front desk to receive and update. The front desk was not nice in their response. I asked the front desk if a urine sample was needed as I really needed to use the restroom. I was not given a response to my question and was just told to use the restroom. I then had to wait in the lobby for another 10-15 minutes before I was called back into the exam room. The nurse was nice and stated the doctor would be in shortly. I then had to wait another 20-30 minutes for the doctor to come into the room. It was very frustrating constantly being asked why I was there and if I had even taken any pregnancy tests when I just had an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy. I do not feel like the doctor reviewed my chart at all. He stated I needed a Pap smear and I had to explain that my normal physician at the practice discussed this at my routine check up a few months ago and it was not needed. What was supposed to be an exciting day turned into me sitting and crying and how bad my experience was.

The only thing that could have been done better with my appointment would have been offering of pain medication after the procedure that was done as I've been in pain for multiple days now. And I think it's a little rude that the doctor did not offer or even ask me if I needed any pain medicines. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

I waited for 45 minutes once back in a room and had seen a nurse. While hearing a bunch of people say their goodbyes for the day, a different doctor than the one I was scheduled to see came to visit. Dr. Scalise was very professional and kind and I am beyond grateful for him handling my appointment even though he was not originally scheduled to. However, having waited so long and administrative staff being gone and side doors to the building being locked when I left gave the feeling that I had been forgotten or overlooked by the original doctor or nurses who were supposed to remember that I was in the room and needed to be seen. I'm unsure of what the cause of all this was however it was very unsettling.

I really love Matthew Scalise Jr as my OBGYN and the nurse who assisted him with the beautiful tattoos and pink nails was amazing as well. However, I didn't get her name. This was also my first time going to the Baptist Parkridge Hospital it was clean and a nice environment.

I appreciate the way the nurse communicated with me on a person to person basis. She was wonderful. As a more mature patient I was ready to be disregarded but was not,it was great.
