Michael Guyton-Nunley, MD, is an adolescent medicine specialist with Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, he completed his medical training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. After completing his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Prisma Health, he completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in New York City.
Dr. Guyton-Nunley's training affords him expertise in all things teenager and young adult, including reproductive health, sexual health, management of eating disorders and care for the LGBTQ population. He works closely with Girlology/Guyology, teaching healthy growth and sexual behaviors to young men of the community, as well as pursuing his interest in teaching and medical education whenever he can. Guyton-Nunley currently lives in Greenville with his husband and their dog.

The nurse should smile and be welcoming like the front desk and doctor

The doctor could have talked to my daughter and show some compassion. The entire 10 min or so encounter he did not take the time to talk to her and question why we made the appointment when the nurse in my chart made the appointment which I did not request but ask a question about medication.

I just wanted to leave a message and say that I had a very negative view of PRISMA overall before going to this appointment and after the appointment with Dr. Mike, that he has completely changed my thoughts about giving an opportunity to PRISMA to treat us in this area and to work with my daughter. on her health and that is just all due to the care that we received in Dr. Mike's office. And I'm very grateful for him and for the help we got there.

Everything was great. The front desk staff was warm, kind, and courteous. The nurse was thorough and efficient. The Dr was very open and honest. He listened and offered guidance and throughly explained our options and processes

I have no suggestions everyone from check in, check out, medical assistant, and Dr Guyton have been wonderful. My daughter went from not being able to talk at her first appointment due to high anxiety to basically doing her appointment by herself bc the staff and provider gave her support and making sure she was comfortable. Extremely impressed with this office
