About Rachel Leigh Vizcaya

Rachel Vizcaya, PA-C, joined Prisma Health Family and Internal Medicine in Boiling Springs in July 2025. Born and raised in Chesnee, South Carolina, she attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, for her master’s degree in PA studies. She sees patients with chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, migraine, menstrual dysfunction, ADD/ADHD, and anxiety/depression as well as acute injuries of the wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and foot. She worked for four years in orthopedic surgery and uses these skills in her family medicine practice today including fracture evaluation, splinting, casting, injections, and can assess/refer for advanced management of more complex orthopedic conditions.

Rachel educates her patients about all their treatment options and enjoys working closely with them to tailor a treatment plan to best fit their needs and improve their quality of life. She is excited to build a medical family and treat her patients with the same care you would give your loved ones.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, attending the apple festival in North Carolina annually, exploring Greenville, and taking walks with her husband and son. She also enjoys reading, music and nights out with friends to try new restaurants.

    I arrived at the appointment 20 minutes early (7:20am) because I had a 7:40am time. I was checked in, updated my insurance and then had a seat to wait for my appointment. At 7:45 am the front desk person comes over and gives me a tablet to fill out a questionnaire. From about 7:30 to 7:45 he was engaged with his coworker talking, laughing, etc. I am sure that you our system lets him know that a questionnaire is required before a patient can be seen so why did he wait so long to give it to me. He caused me to be late for my appointment time, which caused me to be late for work, which causes me to lose money that I use to pay you to reward you for causing me to be late and lose money. I know that he was supposed to give me the questionnaire because when I asked the nurse why it took so long for me to get back there, she told me I can't be seen without the questionnaire being completed. She said she emailed the front desk to remind them to have it filled out. So basically, I get there early as you request because I have changes to my information, and your team in the front desk area makes me late, makes try e doctor lose time, and costs me money because I am late for work. I would love to discuss this further, so please contact me.

    The front desk people were a little unprofessional. They had food out, didn't greet us as soon as we walked in, and were all talking amongst themselves. I had to make the first move to get checked in. I feel as you walked in to the facility you should automatically be greeted. Customer service goes a long way.

    I have not been in a place like this. Everyone was helpful and asked if I was alright with everything they were doing and Everyone was kind and seemed to enjoy their job. Rachel was very knowledgeable and had a very caring manner. I feel so lucky to have found this prisma group. Thanks To All
