Robin Barrineau Welsh, MD

Robin Welsh, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 28 years of experience. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she also completed her psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship. She currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, and is the director of Pediatric Palliative Care at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands. She is also the division director of both Child Development and Behavioral Health and Pediatric Neurology at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. She has worked in the public, private and academic sectors of medicine addressing many issues that affect children and adolescents.
