Roger Caughman Taylor, MD

R. Caughman Taylor, MD, currently serves as chair of the Prisma Health Department of Pediatrics in Columbia and is the senior medical director at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands.

Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and completed his residency training at Prisma Health/UofSC School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has served in several significant leadership roles at Prisma Health and the UofSC School of Medicine, including pediatric residency program director, vice chairman and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, and interim dean of the School of Medicine.
