Ryan Dyess, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist with a special interest in Type 1 diabetes. Dr. Dyess has performed research in Type 1 diabetes and exercise management. His passion stems from his diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes as a child.
Growing up with diabetes and realizing the struggles and successes that can come with such a diagnosis led him to get his medical degree from Ross University Medical Center in the Caribbean. He then completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga followed by pediatric endocrinology training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and exploring all that South Carolina has to offer.

I did not see much of curiosity and thoughtful conversation with the doctor about my child's problem.

Listen and actually make a positive change to the plan to keep her numbers better at school. Her numbers are terrible at school and dr. Dyess did nothing to fix it. They wasted my time having me sit there for over 2 hours & I had to come back for blood work

None because every Prisma facility we went to, the services we received was always professional, caring, respectful, friendly & they always listen to our concerns.

Everyone was great. Our nurse was kind and thorough. Dr Dyess was thorough and explained things well and treated my child kindly. I also appreciate not having to fill out multiple online questionnaires before the appointment. I do think prisma needs to change their text message reminders to refer to physicians by their titles and not just "your appointment with Ryan Dyess...". Physicians should be referred to as Dr in all communications regarding our appointments.

Nothing different. The Dr is always patient and caring to my children. The nurses are always polite and professional. They have a very pleasant office and most importantly they are kind to my children and make them feel safe.
