Sharon W Haire, PCPNP

Mrs. Haire has worked at several major academic medical centers in the Southeast and New England. Sharon started her career as a registered nurse working at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina working as part of a staff on a 18 bed Pediatric Surgical Specialty unit for 5 years while completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She next worked at Duke Children’s Hospital on the Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit for 5 years while obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree. Her first NP position was at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire working with the only 2 Pediatric Surgeons in New Hampshire for the next 10 years. Sharon moved to Boston, Massachusetts and for the next 5 years worked at MassGeneral Hospital for Children with the first female pediatric neurosurgeon in MGH’s 199 year history. Sharon relocated to Greenville, South Carolina in the winter of 2016 and now works with the Pediatric Surgery team here at Prisma Health’s Upstate Children’s Hospital. Sharon enjoys her role as advanced practice provider working with pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures, consultations, evaluations, surgery and recovery. Her special interests include trauma patients and research. Sharon is currently Co-PI of 2 studies undergoing active enrollment
