It was a great and productive visit . Surgery planned.

I was supposed to be prescribed steroids but I still have not received a prescription. I was supposed to be scheduled for a nerve study but I have not heard from anyone. Finally, I looked on MyChart but didn't see any summary of my visit so I'm at a lost of what to do next.

Provider was dismissive. Basic lip service from the surgeon; did not complete as my physical exam; only took x-rays said nothing looked wrong and sent me on my way. I will direct my PCP to not refer me to Dr. Tolan again.

Although we were taken about 20 to 25 minutes after our scheduled time, we are very happy with the treatment we received Dr. Tolan is great and his assistant is even greater Steadman Hawkins Greer in their practice. Great personality. Great care great discussion about our issue the whole works I can't remember his name, but he was great.

You couldn't have done no better. They were the greatest group and crew. I don't see how you could get no better. That's all I got to say about it.

Dr Tolan was caring, patient, kind. He was confident and made me comfortable with planned treatment.

I am so pleased with the doctor and staff at this location. I had past poor experiences with a totally different steadmen Hawkins location but that was the past and my experiences with this location was outstanding. I'm glad to be under the care I am receiving with the current team of providers, thank you !

A lingering issue was not completely fixed and the answer I was given was not resolved. To my liking

Waiting room and exam offices were way to cold. Medical staff wore jackets or sweaters due to the cold atmosphere.

The doctor could have referred me to the neck surgeon, after telling me that my problem was not with my shoulder.

Actually, there was nothing else that needed to be done I met with the fellow first and he was thorough and Dr. Tolan came in and reviewed my situation and gave me a shot.

Not sure that would be possible. I had the conversation I wanted and received the answers to all my questions. Thanks to Dr Tolan!

When I arrived, I was told I was going to xray. Since that was not discussed previously and since that would not change the treatment, I declined. This upset the nurse but I was given the opportunity to discuss with practitioner and he agreed. I think you should advise on extra tests prior to or at the time of making an appointment. No one likes healthcare surprises.

Information could have been organized better. Four examples: 1. The PA said that frozen shoulder was not a significant issue; the doctor said there were two issues involved, one of which was frozen shoulder. 2. Motrin was recommended as an anti-inflammatory, but later I had to go back to that part of the conversation to specifically ask for the recommended dosage. 3. A sheet with recommended stretching exercises utilizing a dowel was provided, but the Xerox-quality illustrations accompanying the text were of human figures only 3/4 inch high, making it more challenging than it needed to be to interpret the figures. 4. The PA provided me with some resistance bands. Later I stopped by the nurses station on the way out with a final question; one of the nurses saw the bands and handed me the exercise sheet that went with the bands.

I felt like just a number that had to be met for reaching a quota of patients

The way you guys could have helped me is by giving me a quicker appointment and answering my questions in MyChart at like, I guess, within 72 hours or my complaints that I have within 72 hours. But that's it.

I did not see Dr Tolan but maybe his resident doctor. I really liked him and he was extremely knowledgeable. Very impressed and definitely trust him. I wish I knew his name.

O was given the appointment through the school's trainer. Upon arrival for his 10a.m. appointment,the intake person began to get rude by saying my son did not have an appointment. I tried asking her to call someone in the back to ask why was there a mix up, but she continued to rudely say that there was nothing she could do. I showed her the text from the trainer and she responded by saying that it didn't matter she did not see it on the computer screen,very rude. I then took a seat and called the trainer myself, she apologized for the mix up and asked me to stand by while she straightened it. Eventually the trainer asked to speak to the intake lady explaining that she was the one who actually made the appointment for my son,and Eventually the matter was straightened out. I've never been handled this way at a doctor's appointment over an appointment mistake made on the medical personnel team. The intake lady needs to be trained better to handle situations as such, and taught to speak with customers better! She was very unprofessional, and didn't represent Dr. Tolan practice in a good light.

I am completely satisfied with the care I receive from Dr Tolan and his PA and feel extremely fortunate to have them as part of my health care team.

It would be nice to have a Prisma facility nearby. But my experience with Blue Ridge Orthopedic was unsatisfactory and I would prefer to be driven forty miles and have a successful procedure.

Everyone from receptionist to surgeon was GREAT

I was very disappointed with this appt which was a 12 week post op visit. First someone busts in and addresses me by the wrong name, they were in the wrong room. Then the PA came in, did an incredibly brief exam, didn't really discuss or explain things to/with me. I had a lot of concerns that went unanswered. He rushed out and said Dr. Tolan would be in. A few minutes later the PA returned and told me to come out of the room. Dr. Tolan was at the station kicked back in his chaur, barely looked at me and said come back in 2 months. This surgery was well over $30000 and as yet, I'm not much better than I was pre-op, yet I can't get anyone to listen. This was a major surgery with multiple procedures, yet the only thing Dr. Tolan has told me is that he "cleaned everything up". Fortunately I'm in the medical field and can read a surgical note otherwise I would be clueless. I felt rushed, pushed out, and given no chance to speak or be heard. There is still no AVS or clinical notes in MyChart from this visit. At my next visit things WILL be different or I will keep sitting there. The after care has not matched the pre-op. The nurses have been wonderful though.
