Stephen Carek, MD, CAQSM, DipABLM, is a family medicine physician in Greenville, South Carolina. Originally from Charleston, he attended Clemson University for college, the Medical University of South Carolina for medical school, Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, for his family medicine residency, and completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Florida.
He currently serves as the program director for the Prisma Health/USC School of Medicine Greenville Family Medicine Residency Program in Greenville, and is an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. He is board certified in family medicine, primary care sports medicine and lifestyle medicine.

He did not listen to me or my Dad. He didn't order my labs, didn't order my prescriptions with the correct dosage. He just did not pay attention.

Calling to get in touch with this office is impossible. The Prisma system makes it hard to reach anyone at this facility.

I was telling the nurse about a problem that I was having and she just gave a dismissive laugh. I did not feel comfortable telling her any more of my issues because of her reaction. In general, the nurse was dismissive and seemed to be in auto-pilot, rather than attentive and caring. Maybe just be more respectful when people are telling you about issues that they're having..

Everything was great! Dr. Carek could not have done more. He cares about my health and I know it. He's very efficient. He's clear about my options. He encourages me and he acknowledges my progress. That makes such a difference to me
