very good visit.

I felt as if his only interest was to push meds. I explained that the incident I was referred to him was a one time event however he didn't take into consideration what I said or how I felt he just kept repeating that he wanted to put me on meds and insert an appliance in my body. He appears to be a good doctor however he should listen to what the patient has to say and not talk over them or use what I consider scare tactics to much meds and minor surgery for an implanted device.

I am very satisfied with the care I get at the Park Ridge Hospital. It's very convenient for me, much more convenient than downtown, and I'm very fortunate to have Dr. Mazzei as my cardiologist. Like I say, I am very, very well pleased with the care I'm getting from Dr. Mazzei and from the Park Ridge Hospital. Thank you.

I have no idea. What we needed was advice concerning the risk"rare"of AFIB patient staying on blood thinners (with possible slight danger to the liver and making an accident or injury, more complicated due to risk of bleeding) versus the very small risk of morbidity from the heart procedure. Try to bore down on this question and have the impression from answer that it's mainly eliminating the cost of blood thinner thats the advantage. But did not hear anything about risks of blood thinners. left with some confusion trying to compare when risk to the other. Will probably ask regular heart doctor about this. Dr. M did answer other questions ( what/how Watchmen prevents clots if one has AFIB, how it works, procedure etc. quite clearly. Did not rush us- asked each time if we had more questions, though I cd tell when he was done- quite reasonable. Manner: serious, not st all empathetic, but I would rather have skills and clear communication than empathy from a surgeon.

I felt that a few more questions would've helped to make sure the doctor knew a little more about my medical history and when I was going through prior to coming to their office
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 9/28/2025
I honestly had a great experience with everything - maybe just a little more direction of where to go in the building

We were unfamiliar with this location and more clearly marked office numbers would have been helpful for our first time there. Other than that, everything was perfect! Dr. Mazzei saved my husband's life years ago and we are forever grateful for him and the care that he and his team have for us.

The furniture in the waiting areas is getting old and tired. You should pay more attention to these small details. It would let your patients (customers) see that you pay attention to details. This would increase patient confidence.

Everyone was most professional and courteous. Dr. M was very informative and helpful and made sure that I understood everything about my procedure. I had a list of questions, but after he explained everything, he had answered all my questions. I feel very confident in his abilities.

The receptionist was pre occupied with a friend of hers and having a personal conversation so she sent me to another person to check me in. I thought she should take the pt. First.

Everyone I dealt with was courteous, knowledgeable, and reassuring. My only problem is that the directional signage in the parking garage is lacking- at least to me.

Check testing on tech every 6mos before letting them make mistakes on other people like he did me and try to blame there history for the situation. For there mistakes
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/3/2025
There is not one. I asked a lot questions to dr Mazz and he listened and replied with a lot of detail. It made my wife and i feel comfortable with his suggestions on my surgery.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/1/2025
Everything was fine, even more than expected. We arrived 2 hours early and they worked us in so we didn't have to wait 2 hours. Therefore we were able to leave early. By me working 3rd shift I was able to get home early enough to rest enough to pull my shift. I am very grateful to your staff. There are kind, thoughtful, and considerate. Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful day after all. Thanks for all you do.

The person who drew my blood at the end of the appointment needs more training, she was not very competent
- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 7/23/2025
The nurse that gave me my instructions to do for the monitor was very impatient and rushed me. And I kept explaining to her that if she didn't slow down, that I wouldn't remember everything. And she would go on and say, well, the instructions are in the box. You can read the box later. I thought that was very rude.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 7/21/2025
I had a positive and comfortable experience. All were kind, caring and informative.

Excellent experience. Physician, nurses, and staff were all professional, courteous and competent. Could not have been better.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 5/5/2025
Good question. I think that Insurance has your arms tied along with the cost of meds. I don't believe that some of these services are worth what we are being charged for, is it inflation? Dr Mazzei, is a very very good doctor and I would see him anywhere along with his nurse as they are very competent. Coates.
