Brandon Crouch, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at Prisma Health Family Medicine– Powdersville. Dr. Crouch attended Purdue University in Indiana for his undergraduate degree and went on to graduate with his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. He completed a residency in family medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and went on to practice in rural Ohio for seven years.
His passion for family medicine is in taking care of entire families, from babies and children up through and including older adults. His philosophy of care is based around patient choice and education. By getting to know his patients and their core values and beliefs, he believes he can create better treatment plans that are personal and tailored to each unique patient. This is his foundation for caring for his patients as it leads them to get the care they want and need in a way that best suits them.
As a married father of two, Dr. Crouch enjoys spending time with his family by going to parks, trying new restaurants and playing at home with them. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, reading, going to the movies and swimming.

My visit with Dr Crouch was like all my other visits with him and his team. I feel like I am treated not just as a patient. Dr Crouch and his team make it feel like a family atmosphere which is comforting.

I would have liked to have had a little bit more time to spend with a provider. He did spend an hour with me, but I would have liked a little bit more time as he had run out of time for me. Thank you.

From having an opening quickly, to registration, interest of the physician and scheduling further, I couldn't have asked for better. Exceptional experience!

It was the best non-judgmental doctors appointment I have ever had. Dr. Crouch is a very good listener and helped me understand some issues that I have and letting me know I'm not alone. Great doctor hands down. He made me feel very comfortable to talk to him and open up. I look forward in making him my primary doctor.

I am a registered nurse. Have worked as a trauma ER nurse and nurse educator. The nurse taking my BP wrapped an extra large cuff over my sweater and the cuff was midline over my elbow. The reading was way lower than I get at home. I told Dr Crouch it was taken incorrectly. He stated the sweater wouldn't make a difference in my readings. I explained to him my readings at home were concerning to me as they are way higher, especially in the evenings. He suggested my home readings being high were most likely due to my BP cuff wasn't working right. I explained when I felt a headache and head pressure my BP readings were high. If no symptoms, my BP was normal. I told him I previously had to take BP meds twice a day. I asked for a BP check the correct way with a regular size cuff and on my bare skin. He let the nurse take it again and the reading was high. I told him the reading is comparable to what I get with my home cuff. Mychart did not reflect the correct BP reading. He did not adjust my BP medications even though the reading was high. He also stated that walking is not a weight bearing exercise and suggested to use stretch bands as a weight bearing exercise. He is incorrect on both of those. I don't feel confident to have him as my health care provider. No labwork was obtained for my 6 month follow up even though he increased my cholesterol meds 6 months ago. He wanted me to come back in a few weeks for a BP check. If the nurse can't take correct readings then I don't see the purpose. I keep a log and my BP cuff must be working if I have headaches and my BP is high. Asymptomatic and my readings are normal. Ultimately, I feel as an MD he should have taken my BP manually. I do not want him as my provider.

Well not sure about respect but being timely after the appt. Is set so as not to keep the patient waiting to long to be seen by the doctor,

I was a little bit treated like an idiot by the doctor for not fasting prior to bloodwork when no one told me we were going to do bloodwork. I recieved about a thousand reminder texts and not one of them said I needed to fast.

Not directed at my doctor but as prisma as a whole. Stop setting time limits on medical staff and let doctors spend all the time they need with their patients. No need for them to have to document or be penalized for taking all the time needed as a healthcare provider. I am a nurse and I know what it means to patients.

It was clean and the receptionist were nice. But I just don't think that Dr. Crouch was a good Dr for me. He lacks people skills, didn't listen or like anything I was saying and he was really pushy. Not saying he's not a good Dr. just not for me.

I think maybe listening to me and trying to understand where I'm coming from. I had been with my other family doctor for 30 years and he knew me and I had faith and trust in him. It's hard starting over and I don't think these younger doctors understand.

Could have showed a little more concern than what was given and I never want to see Dr. Crouch Again .. The problem I had I still have it could have given me some type of antibiotic just in case I do have an infection in my foot!! He Showed no Concern. I was out in 5 minutes but the bill still will be paid through my insurance company.. Wowwwww

Everything was great! Each of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Crouch was very knowledgeable and thorough. He made me feel very comfortable, and was very respectful. This was my initial visit as a new patient. I cannot think of anything that could have been improved. Very pleased with my new doctor and staff!

It took like two months for me to get an appointment. Aside from that, everything else was fine.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/3/2025
Dr. Crouch and all of the staff were great! I appreciate that he didn't rush the appointment and took the time to answer my questions very thoroughly. I moved to the upstate 9 years ago and was continuing to travel to Columbia for my PCP. I'm glad I finally found someone in this area!

Dr. Crouch was new to me. He sent me for x-ray, which was not available until the end of the week, and I still do not have a physician's response about treatment.

I realized after talking to Doctor Crouch that I had high expectations. I came in for a thyroid problem and I was hoping that it would start to be resolved during my first visit, but I realized that that was not possible because I hadn't fasted for any blood work. I am very pleased that I can have my blood drawn at the office and not have to go to a third party.

This was my first visit as a new patient. I was very impressed with the staff and the establishment. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, and made me feel relaxed and a priority. Dr. Brandon Crouch asked multiple health questions, which made me believe he was interested in getting a great base knowledge of my history. I signed forms to have my medical records sent to him. I look forward to having Dr. Crouch as our family physician!

No suggestions. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I was treated respectfully. No one rushed while caring for me. I am a new patient and am very happy I found this medical practice. Dr. Crouch was thorough and informative.
