James Harley, DO

Dr. James Harley is a family medicine physician with Prisma Health who provides comprehensive, community-focused care to patients of all ages. He completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, before earning his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in St. George, Utah. Dr. Harley later moved to South Carolina, where he completed his family medicine residency with Prisma Health in Columbia.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Harley cares for a wide range of health concerns and medical conditions. His practice includes preventive care, dermatologic conditions, infections, and the management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes. He values the broad scope of family medicine and the opportunity it provides to support individuals and families throughout many stages of life.

Dr. Harley is particularly passionate about building relationships with his patients and helping them make meaningful progress in their health. He enjoys meeting people where they are and working collaboratively to address the concerns that matter most to them. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Harley enjoys a variety of hobbies and hands-on activities. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys working on bicycles, often maintaining several at home. He also enjoys experimenting with technology, including using a 3D printer. Most importantly, he values spending time with his wife and their three children, who keep family life active and full.
