Shamiel Riley, FNP, joined Prisma Health in 2023 and transitioned to Prisma Health Family Medicine. She was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Coastal Carolina University, her undergraduate nursing degree from Francis Marion University and later graduated from South University–Columbia as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Her professional background includes experience in emergency nursing, public health nursing and sickle cell care. Shamiel provides primary care for patients ages 5 and older and is passionate about supporting patients across all aspects of their health. She has a special interest in the management of anxiety, chronic illness and women’s health.
Shamiel strongly believes in a collaborative approach to healthcare and values treating each patient with respect and compassion as an individual.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, her children, Paizley and Elias, and their Cane Corso, Triton.

Nothing. The entire staff was amazing. From the nurse, to the NP, and the lady who took my blood. The entire experience was amazing, I'm going through a very hard time and felt listened to. The appointment did not feel rushed. 100% recommend this office.
